Conflicting Information Abounds

June 3, 2013 By Jo Anne Lindberg

Conflicting Information

Who and what do you believe? The amount of information we have at our finger tips is staggering. The need to be able to discern what is real and what is a hoax or scam is more important than ever. We all have our own inner guidance system. We can learn to make decisions with our heart and our heads. Sometimes even our gut is involved. How many times have you had that queasy feeling and you ignored it only to find out later that your wished you hadn’t? How do we learn to trust ourselves? Take time when facing a major decision. Gather as much information as you can from a variety of sources. If you are still not sure postpone the decision when possible. Sometimes time will allow the correct choice to bubble forth. Sleep on it is great advice.

Our beliefs color all of our decisions. Perception of past experience is how we build our belief systems. How many times have you changed your mind about something you previously believed to be true? My guess is more than you think. Many times we base our decisions on what is popular. We follow the crowd instead of choosing what is right for us. I have never followed the crowd. It might have been easier. Each time I did what was right for me, I felt empowered and my confidence increased. After many years of this practice I have become a very strong woman.

Who is to say what is right and what is wrong? What is right for one person may be wrong for another. As long as there is no pain or injury being inflicted on another person there are a wide range of options. There are so many more choices than one right and one wrong choice. Believe in unlimited possibility and it is amazing what you will discover. Your life will become rich with experiences and avenues for growth will open up before you in ways you never thought possible.
