Counselors

Fears can have a major impact on birth. Working with an art therapist, social worker, psychologist, birth counselor or someone in a similar field could make a big difference in your birth. The mind can effectively shut down a labor either temporarily or completely. If you have any major life issues going on it might be a good idea to deal with them in a professional setting.

Postpartum can also be problematic, especially if there is a traumatic birth. Getting counseling may be a life line in these cases.

See alphabetical listings below. Please contact the practitioner directly to schedule an appointment or if you have any questions. Be sure to let them know BirthLink sent you!

If you can't find a practitioner near you please contact us.

"The most significant thing for a parent to contribute to anyone, is their own Connection (bonding) and their own stability. An effective parent is a happy parent. An effective parent is a parent who laughs easily and often, and who doesn't take things so seriously. You are loved. All is well."
