Welcome to Fatherhood

December 30, 2025 By Jo Anne Lindberg

After reading David Arrell’s book Welcome to Fatherhood: The Modern Man’s Guide to Pregnancy, Childhood and Fatherhood, I was inspired to share part of an email he sent me. He is one of the most enthusiastic fathers I have ever encountered. Check out his web site and book when you have a chance. It will be well worth the effort!

“Almost every expectant Dad I’ve worked with has been 100% committed to being “helpful and supportive.” Yet almost every single one of them has also been largely unsure of what that looks like and what they specifically can do to be “helpful and supportive” as the journey from Bump to Baby progresses. Wanting to step in and step up is great, but having clear and specific advice on how to get better connected to Mama and better prepared for each step of the journey is something most expectant Dads really appreciate, and that’s what WTF delivers.”
